Once you have passed your Driving Test there are still many more options available to you to help improve your all round driving skills and help reduce potential accident rates. These include: Refresher Courses - Refresher courses are generally aimed towards drivers who have passed their test but have not driven for a long period of time Motorway Tuition - When driving on motorways it is crucially important that drivers pay more attention as there are greater demands required from your driving skills. Pass Plus - The Pass plus scheme was introduced by the Driving Standards Agency in connection with most of the UK's insurance companies. The Diamond Advanced (DIA) - The fact is that over 3/4 of all traffic accidents are caused solely by driver or rider error. Little, if any, further training is ever taken by the majority of drivers after passing the basic "L" test. Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) - When you have achieved advanced skills as a driver and wish to become an "Expert" the IAM run an advanced driving scheme, which results in an advanced driving test. Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents
(RoSPA) - RoSPA run a similar scheme to the IAM called the RoSPA
Advanced Drivers Association (RoSPA). They aim to reducr road accidents
by encouraging interest in road safety. |
